In April 2021, our company name was changed to Toyota Tsusho Metals Japan Limited from Toyota Tsusho Markets Japan Limited.

Commodity markets have undergone major changes over the past two decades with the rise of demand from China and emerging economies. In the financial markets, monetary easing policies by central banks around the world have resulted in an influx of surplus funds into the markets, which has had a significant impact on market price fluctuations.Purchase and sales prices in corporate activities have become more volatile than ever, and hedging against price fluctuation risk has become even more important for those involved in purchasing and sales. On the other hand, unexpected price fluctuations such as tin in March 2021, copper in October 2021, and nickel in March 2022 are expected to cause various changes in LME management methods in the future.

Currently, we mainly trade nonferrous metal commodities listed on the London Metal Exchange and precious metal OTC derivatives, but as soon as the environment is ready, we plan to start brokering aluminum premiums, alumina, cobalt, lithium, etc., which are scheduled to be listed on the exchange.
